What We Are Looking For: As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers at our dealership. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, managing incoming calls, and processing payments accurately. You will also perform various clerical tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard efficiently.
  • Communicate with callers effectively, aiming to reduce wait times.
  • Take detailed messages, including the caller's name, company, and purpose of the call.
  • Provide basic information to callers with general inquiries.
  • Assist the sales department cashier as needed.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with customers and staff.
  • Accurately calculate customer bills using the dealership's computer system.
  • Process cash, checks, and credit card payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are signed by customers.
  • Verify and reconcile cash, checks, and credit card payments at the end of your shift.
  • Stay informed about new products and services offered by the dealership.
  • Direct customers with further inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Handle customer complaints with professionalism and direct them to the right individual when necessary.
  • Process cash refunds for approved merchandise returns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to multitask and manage multiple phone calls simultaneously.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a dealership or retail receptionist role is preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Professional appearance is essential.
