Job Overview: As a pivotal member of the Product Development (PD) Platform Operations team, you will be at the forefront of delivering, deploying, and maintaining robust and scalable environments for our next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) infrastructure and software. Our focus is on leveraging infrastructure-as-code and application configuration as code methodologies, utilizing tools such as Ansible.

Key Responsibilities: You will take the lead in developing innovative software engineering methods, creating software solutions, and establishing efficient pipelines. Our team is small yet rapidly expanding, seeking talented individuals to propel Ford into the future. We embrace cutting-edge technologies across the organization, recognizing that the evolution of our backend platforms is essential for long-term success.

Core Duties: Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the 3DX platform, which is vital to Ford's future endeavors. Our department is dedicated to modernizing processes to enhance the tools that engineers utilize daily, treating the development of 3DX as we would any other software project.

Required Skills: This position is tailored for individuals with extensive experience in the PLM domain, particularly in enhancing the deployment of customizations within Ford's PLM environment, specifically utilizing Dassault's 3DX. This encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, widget development, data integrations, API management, dashboard creation, and cross-platform integration.

Preferred Skills: Candidates should possess experience with Tekton or GitHub Actions (Jenkins is also acceptable), familiarity with GCP and Apigee, and proficiency in using GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Projects. Experience with Jira, a proactive approach to learning in a fast-paced environment, and functional expertise in front-end and back-end web development are highly valued. A strong understanding of Git/GitHub and effective use of an IDE (e.g., VSCode) is essential.

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience with a PLM platform, 5 years working with Dassault's 3DX product line, and at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing software development teams or developers. Additionally, candidates should have over 10 years of experience in software development or engineering and a background in AGILE methodologies.
