Position Overview

Role Summary:

  • This role offers a distinctive and stimulating engineering opportunity that integrates electrical systems, software development, vehicle-level performance, and project management.
  • Design and develop software for electronic control modules.
  • Collaborate with platform systems and feature teams to assess program specifications and market variations.
  • Oversee the completion of Statements of Work and RFQ packages alongside Hardware engineers.
  • Engage with the Electrical team to facilitate software development and meet program milestones.
  • Direct product development milestones for software deliverables.
  • Operate within an Agile framework, supporting PI planning and managing software releases and content.
  • Administer JIRA Epics and Stories to align with Sagas and program increments.
  • Track JIRA stories' status and progress through the sprint board.
  • Define software interfaces between suppliers and requirements documented in JAMA.
  • Conduct design reviews with interfacing activities and supplier engineering teams.
  • Lead program-specific software Failure Mode Avoidance (DFMEA) initiatives.
  • Ensure traceability from suppliers to validate the connection between specifications, requirements breakdown, and test cases related to DFMEA controls for safety-critical components.
  • Manage the software release process and oversee software change management.
  • Handle engineering changes through JIRA, DCRs, cost approvals, and software releases in JFROG.
  • Provide support for vehicle builds, including Software Release Packages, configurations, BreadBoards, HIL, Development builds, and Pilot builds.
  • Coordinate supplier activities to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
  • Recognize and escalate significant delivery gaps.
  • Conduct Customer Acceptance Testing.
  • Lead software quality assessments and warranty analysis, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Project management, embedded hardware, and software design expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with JIRA, JAMA, JFROG, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with CANalyzer, AutoSAR, cybersecurity, and functional safety principles.
  • Working knowledge of CAN and LIN networks.
  • Experience with bench and vehicle testing methodologies.
  • Strong ability to assess, discuss, and collaborate in real-time.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey action plans effectively.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years in the automotive sector, with at least 3 years focused on developing electronic control modules.
  • Over 5 years of experience in module development and launch processes.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
