JOB SUMMARY:
At Epitec, we are committed to advancing human mobility and innovation. We are seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our Data Science and AI/ML initiatives.

As part of our Global Data Insight & Analytics division, you will focus on enhancing our internal AI/ML platform, driving strategic advancements in machine learning capabilities.

You will collaborate within a small, agile team, working closely with engineers, business stakeholders, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful solutions.

Your primary focus will be on developing the Mach1ML platform, an AI/ML enablement system designed to democratize machine learning across the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and stakeholders to implement MLOps platforms and Generative AI solutions in cloud environments using Python and various tools.

• Partner with software engineers and data scientists to address complex AIOps and Generative AI challenges.

• Oversee and enhance the existing CI/CD ecosystem and tools.

• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in CI/CD and release processes.

• Review and troubleshoot code/scripts to resolve issues effectively.

• Contribute to the standardization of machine learning development practices.

• Foster innovation and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Lead by example in paired programming to facilitate cross-training, problem-solving, and efficient delivery.

• Utilize cutting-edge technologies in ML, Generative AI, cloud services, and container orchestration.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a backend software engineer specializing in Python, with a strong foundation in software engineering principles.

• At least 2 years of experience in cloud engineering and services.

• Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and Kubeflow.

• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages, particularly Python and C/C++.

• Understanding of MLOps and Generative AI is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, including tools like Jenkins and Tekton.

• Experience with cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offerings such as Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.

• Knowledge of container management solutions, including Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
