As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control divisions, ensuring that product quality meets the rigorous standards required for Nuclear Power Generation and Navy Nuclear applications. As a vital member of the plant leadership team, you will manage the daily operations of these essential departments to fulfill business objectives.

Relocation assistance may be available based on individual circumstances. A sign-on incentive of $5,000 is offered to the successful candidate.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Creating a safe and efficient work environment by enforcing safety regulations, identifying hazards, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. Leading and advising the QA and QC teams. Setting departmental goals and strategies, implementing plans to achieve them, and ensuring accountability among team members. Fostering a culture of nuclear safety and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Managing the inspection workforce while upholding the union labor agreement. Collaborating with other department leaders to align on daily priorities and strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach to performance expectations. Reviewing and interpreting relevant codes, standards, and specifications to guarantee compliance in processes and documentation. Assisting in the resolution of customer-related issues. Driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing quality costs and enhancing timely delivery. Supporting business performance goals through data analysis, reduction of scrap and rework, and ongoing process enhancements. Maintaining a comprehensive records and documentation system in line with regulatory agency standards. Representing the organization during customer and regulatory audits. Assisting in equipment and staffing decisions to support long-term business needs. Encouraging seamless collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Control or a related field. At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience. Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships across departments. Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related technical field. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks independently. Experience with ASME code manufacturing. Experience managing unionized employees. Familiarity with nondestructive testing methods.
