Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operational assessments of products, including but not limited to evaluating operating times, voltage levels, dielectric properties, and insulation resistance. Adjust and test units to comply with all in-house final testing specifications and established protocols.
  • Interpret and comprehend overall schematics, testing specifications, FTP, and ATP reports as required. Follow written instructions and procedures meticulously to ensure accurate product testing.
  • Proactively support and enhance testing methodologies by identifying solutions to recurring challenges.
  • Examine color, shape, texture, and quality of materials against established benchmarks, charts, and samples.
  • Utilize a diverse range of measurement tools, hand instruments, and gauges to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform tests and diagnostic evaluations using equipment such as analyzers, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Address faults, reassemble products, and conduct additional testing as necessary.
  • May be required to operate mass spectrometers and ESS equipment as needed. Collaborate effectively within a team environment, engaging in shared responsibilities and collective problem-solving. Provide training to other staff members as required.
  • Adhere to JSTD-001 Military Specification Soldering Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of ESD training as per OP 1707, Solder certification according to OP 1701, and Testing certification per OP 1704. Candidates not certified as testers but selected due to a lack of fully qualified applicants must successfully complete the tester certification course on their first attempt. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Important Note: This position may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware, or other items subject to U.S. and international export control laws and regulations. As a result, it may be necessary for TE to verify a candidate's national origin and/or citizenship status to determine if a U.S. or other government export license is required before providing access to its technologies. TE reserves the right to either a) condition an employment offer on obtaining required export licenses, b) consider the candidate for a different position not subject to such restrictions, or c) discontinue the candidate's application process.
