Role Description:

Become a vital member of a dynamic team focused on the design and development of testing and checkout systems for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in the creation of Special Test Equipment (STE) that involves research and development for various electronic systems, including Avionics, RF Systems, Control Systems, Telemetry, Electro-Optical, and Radiation Detection Equipment.

Design automated testing systems, including electronic hardware and signal conditioning equipment, while interfacing with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) instrumentation for production tests, validation, and field testing.



Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the development and design of STE systems.
  • Expertise in card and box-level STE design.
  • Experience in hardware/software integration of STE.
  • Proficiency in cable and electronic system board design and troubleshooting.
  • Background in Automated Test System hardware/software design and integration.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, including Electronics & Mechanical Hardware, FPGA Systems, and Software Engineering.


Typical Requirements:

  • A minimum of years of relevant professional experience.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in leading the design, development, and integration of Automated Test Equipment or Special Test Equipment.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in debugging and troubleshooting board and system-level automated test systems.
  • Demonstrated versatility in system design.
  • Knowledge of test system safety requirements development.
  • Experience in RF test methodology design, integration, and testing.
  • Proficiency in designing automated tests and test equipment using various instruments.

Experience in Python software development for Automated Test Equipment is highly desired.

Familiarity with LabVIEW development is also preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and experience.
