Position Overview:

Cobb EMC is seeking a dedicated Head of Cybersecurity Operations to lead the enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the protection of the organization's digital resources through effective leadership, strategic insight, and technical proficiency. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the organization's cybersecurity framework, ensuring high performance and reliability across the network, and maintaining compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement a comprehensive security framework aligned with NIST, COBIT, and applicable laws to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT and OT leaders, as well as business stakeholders, to define the strategic vision for Cobb EMC's cybersecurity program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the management of the cybersecurity program, including long-term planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement of necessary technologies.
  • Monitor current cyber threats and advise stakeholders on risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring employee engagement and compliance.
  • Participate in cyber liability insurance assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate governance and compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards.
  • Manage daily operations of the cybersecurity team, including incident response and investigations.
  • Design and implement effective incident response plans to address cybersecurity incidents and improve response capabilities.
  • Supervise external cybersecurity resources and vendors to ensure alignment with performance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in Information Security or IT leadership, with at least five years in a security management role.
  • Proven experience in managing security incidents and responses, with a strong understanding of cyber threats and risk management.
  • Familiarity with network technologies, cybersecurity measures, and incident response tools.
  • Experience with securing Control Systems (SCADA/DCS/PLC) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cyber insurance programs and risk assessment methodologies.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the CISSP framework and experience in its application.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing industry standards, particularly the NIST CSF Framework.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive policy deployment effectively while maintaining a focus on security maturity.
