Position SummaryWe are in search of a committed professional to become part of our team as a Journey Level System Operator within the Distribution or Collection Division of the Water and Wastewater Department. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of water and wastewater systems, guaranteeing the dependable provision of services.
Primary Duties:- Conduct repairs and replacements of water and wastewater mains and service connections
- Install new water and wastewater service taps
- Execute high-pressure cleaning of wastewater mains
- Inspect and maintain water and wastewater pump stations
- Operate heavy machinery, including backhoes and dump trucks
- Perform general maintenance tasks as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background
- At least one year of experience in water and wastewater construction
- Possession of a valid commercial driver's license
- Certification in Distribution or Collection systems
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures
