Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement a comprehensive security framework in alignment with NIST, COBIT, and relevant legal requirements to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with technology and business leaders to define the strategic vision for Cobb EMC's cybersecurity program, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the management of enterprise security, including long-term planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement of necessary tools and technologies.
  • Stay informed about current cyber threats and advise stakeholders on risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date cybersecurity policies and ensure employee engagement through training and compliance initiatives.
  • Facilitate cybersecurity governance in accordance with industry standards and privacy laws, adapting to regulatory changes as necessary.
  • Supervise daily operations of the cybersecurity team, including incident monitoring and response coordination.
  • Create and refine incident response plans to effectively manage cybersecurity incidents and enhance response capabilities.
  • Manage relationships with external partners involved in the cybersecurity program to ensure alignment and service continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in Information Security or IT Leadership, with at least five years in a security leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing security incidents, including evaluation and response strategies.
  • Strong technical skills in cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network management.
  • Experience with securing Control Systems (SCADA/DCS/PLC) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cyber insurance programs and risk assessment practices.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the CISSP framework and experience in its application.
  • Experience with the NIST CSF Framework and demonstrated results in security governance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive policy deployment and enhance security maturity across the organization.
