About the Role:

The Guest Experience Event Team at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest Experience Event Team Associate. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests and members, ensuring a positive and memorable experience during their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and members at various locations throughout the museum, including ticketed venues, temporary exhibition locations, and special events.
  • Process admissions, sell and renew memberships, and answer questions to provide a seamless experience for guests.
  • Support the Guest Services Team during peak times and special exhibitions, ensuring a high level of service and efficiency.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the museum and its guests.
  • Interact with guests and members to provide information about current and future exhibitions, events, programs, and museum amenities.
  • Stay informed about new and current information regarding institutional offerings, products, policies, and software systems.
  • Balance individual cash drawers at the end of each shift and follow cash handling procedures to ensure accurate accounting of all revenue.
  • Assist the Guest Services Leadership Team in researching and resolving guest service issues.
  • Maintain an organized appearance of all locations and ensure that all materials and information displayed are current and well-stocked.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in customer service or a related industry preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality, with ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to multitask, work as a team player, and use good judgment in customer-facing situations.
  • Good command of general computer applications and basic math skills.

  • Physical demands: Position requires working in galleries for prolonged periods, standing, walking, and climbing stairs, bending, and stretching, and physical stamina to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Work Environment: The majority of work will be performed in museum spaces with some outdoor assignments, as needed.
