Healthcare Customer Service Representative

Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing essential support and guidance. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks to assist physicians and clinic personnel effectively. You will be responsible for gathering insurance and patient details, distributing necessary forms, and ensuring signatures are obtained as required. Your duties will include entering patient information into our system, managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and relaying messages for all staff members. You will also oversee and adjust physician schedules as needed, and perform patient care tasks related to data entry and account management. Additionally, you will establish payment plans and handle payment collections.
In this role, you will address inquiries regarding insurance claims, disability benefits, home health services, medical equipment, surgical procedures, medical records, and patient referrals.
A compassionate, friendly, and professional demeanor is essential when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues. You will also be expected to perform other related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience:
At least one year of relevant experience in a medical office setting is preferred. New hires must complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training through Clinical Education.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Advanced Qualifications:
Current Patient Service Representatives seeking advancement must complete all required competencies for both the Patient Service Representative and Advanced titles prior to promotion.
