Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and creative Senior Events Manager to oversee Lenovo's North America International Sales Organization events. This role is pivotal in utilizing data-driven insights to align event strategies with corporate objectives and technological advancements. The successful candidate will manage both in-person and virtual events, including executive briefings, consumer and commercial engagements, partner interactions, and global marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Event Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive event plans, covering logistics, registration, product displays, staffing, booth design, security, and operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and innovations.
- Analytics-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to shape event strategies, monitor performance metrics, and communicate ROI to stakeholders. Apply best practices to enhance future event participation and outcomes.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with North America segment marketing managers, sales teams, and the global events unit to refine the overall event strategy, ensuring alignment with broader corporate goals and industry innovations.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient solutions while delivering exceptional results. Utilize financial tools to streamline payment processes and vendor management.
- Effective Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates through project management tools and conducting regular status meetings to ensure seamless coordination.
- Innovative Event Solutions: Create and execute virtual and hybrid customer experiences that utilize the latest technology to engage audiences. Implement creative approaches to event marketing and communications.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Ensure representation from Intelligent Device Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), and Solutions & Services Group teams, showcasing products and content to promote a unified Lenovo approach.
- Training and Development: Educate North America teams, including sales and executives, on strategies for maximizing event participation and engagement.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and event management, with a proven record of successful event execution.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support event management.
- Influence and Relationship Management: Ability to engage stakeholders within a complex organization, leveraging strong relationships and a commanding presence.
- Project and Budget Management: Excellent organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying event details effectively to diverse audiences.
- Agency Experience: Background in account management at a media or creative agency, or overseeing agency relationships from the client perspective.
- Innovative Event Execution: Experience in designing and producing virtual or hybrid events, utilizing advanced technology to create engaging experiences.
- Commitment to Excellence: Dedication to delivering high-quality programs that engage Lenovo's partners and customers.
