At South Salem Rehabilitation LLC, we recognize the significance of providing affordable and accessible healthcare to our team members. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed and under the supervision of the attending physician.
  • Ensure medication administration aligns with established nursing standards, policies, local procedures, and state regulations.
  • Prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications accurately and safely.
  • Complete necessary documentation, forms, and reports promptly.
  • Ensure all administered medications are correctly labeled, returned, and reordered as needed.
  • Foster a warm, patient, and enthusiastic atmosphere, promoting a calm and cheerful environment.
  • Participate in facility evaluations conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Effectively communicate essential resident information to charge nurses, the director of nursing, and/or the administrator.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid Certified Medication Aide license in the state.
  • Familiarity with common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terminology related to medication administration.
  • Ability to accurately measure, record, and report vital signs.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU 503.
