POSITION SUMMARY

This role serves as a vital support to the Controller, focusing on various accounting functions. Key responsibilities encompass managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Management, Accrual Accounting, Audits, Taxes, Payroll, Budgeting, Financial Statement Preparation, and Financial Analysis for multiple business entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough General Ledger Analysis.
  • Prepare Journal Entries for Controller approval.
  • Oversee Tax Processing and Mortgage Processing.
  • Manage Accrual Accounting, ensuring all major expense items are accurately recorded.
  • Review Financial Statements for accuracy and compliance by the 5th business day of the following month.
  • Perform Job Costing and Fixed Asset management.
  • Handle Limited Partnership Reporting and Homeowner Association Accounting.
  • Process Replacement Reserve entries.
  • Complete Cash and Bank Reconciliations by the 25th of the succeeding month.
  • Analyze Budget Variances.
  • Engage in additional tasks and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in Accounting with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
  • Experience in Property Management is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Yardi and QuickBooks software is beneficial.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; advanced skills are preferred.
  • This position demands strong attendance, a solid work ethic, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A comprehensive understanding of business and financial terminology is necessary.
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning to common issues and foresee potential outcomes is crucial.
  • General office skills, including copying, scanning, and faxing, are required.
