Director of Sales and Marketing

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa. As a key member of our hotel team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase occupancy rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to maximize revenue and occupancy rates
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and relationship-building
  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals
  • Collaborate with the revenue team to analyze market trends and develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote the hotel and its facilities to conference planners, tour operators, wholesalers, and ad hoc group members
  • Conduct on-site assessments of the property with prospective clients to showcase its amenities and services
  • Train and mentor the sales team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Prepare and present reports to the management team on sales performance and market trends

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing, preferably in a branded hotel environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and knowledge of Delphi, Cvents, and Salesforce
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
