Position Overview

Role: Spanish Teacher

Employment Type: Part-Time

Compensation: $25-30 per hour, based on experience

Language Kids Houston LLC is on the lookout for a passionate and energetic Spanish Teacher to contribute to our mission of fostering early language acquisition in young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute captivating lesson plans and activities that facilitate language learning and cultural appreciation.
  • Establish a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes language immersion, ensuring all students feel respected and valued.
  • Utilize innovative and interactive teaching strategies to accommodate various learning preferences.
  • Conduct cultural workshops, games, and outings to broaden students' exposure to the Spanish language and its traditions.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their language skills.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students, maintaining a secure learning environment and adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience for students.
Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for working with children.
  • Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency).
  • Experience in teaching Spanish to children or adolescents, ideally in an educational context.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Dedication to fostering cross-cultural understanding and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and preparation for class activities.
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
  • Valid work authorization in the USA.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish Language/Literature, or a related discipline.
  • Texas teaching certification.
  • Certification in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (e.g., TCFL, TCSOL).
  • Experience in a Spanish-speaking environment.
