Role Summary:
The Program Supervisor is tasked with leading, coordinating, and executing the After School Program at the Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYCSF). This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing program development, and fostering strong relationships with youth, educational staff, families, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
  • Oversee the daily functions of the program to ensure high standards and compliance.
  • Design and implement engaging activities that include academic support, creative arts, STEM initiatives, career exploration, and other enrichment opportunities tailored to the interests of participants.
  • Ensure the safety and proper use of facilities while maintaining a secure environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and faculty to align program objectives with the institution's goals for student growth and achievement.
  • Lead data collection efforts, conduct evaluations, and utilize feedback for continuous program enhancement.
  • Manage student recruitment, enrollment, and scheduling to achieve attendance targets.
  • Act as a liaison for positive disciplinary measures, assisting staff with conflict resolution and maintaining communication with families regarding student behavior.

Leadership and Staff Development:
  • Guide, mentor, and provide professional growth opportunities for program staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Ensure high performance and accountability among team members.
  • Develop and implement a facilities management strategy that includes safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
  • Facilitate team meetings, conduct training on safety procedures, and coordinate necessary drills.
  • Exemplify professionalism, a strong work ethic, and personal accountability.

Community Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and positive relationships with all stakeholders, including youth, school personnel, families, community partners, and funders.
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership, community coordinators, counselors, and local agencies.
  • Respond to stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop outreach strategies to enhance program visibility and encourage family and community involvement.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents to discuss youth progress and challenges.

Administrative Oversight:
  • Ensure all participant documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with funding requirements.
  • Monitor staff attendance and process payroll documentation.
  • Submit necessary reports and documentation punctually, including program evaluations and attendance data.
  • Procure supplies and materials essential for program operations.
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines and organizational financial practices.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Support organizational events and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in youth development, or an Associate Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to engage with diverse groups effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including record-keeping and event coordination.
  • Proficient in preparing detailed reports and conducting data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing at least 25lbs.
  • Bilingual skills in Cantonese and/or Spanish are highly desirable.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety guidelines as required.
