- Develop and Maintain Procedures: Develop, write, and maintain updated procedures for the Criminal History Unit to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Entry and Review of Criminal Arrests and Dispositions: Enter and review criminal arrest and disposition data into the CHRIS system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Access and Update Dispositions: Access and update dispositions in the Prosecutor Portal, Doxpop, and MyCase systems to ensure accurate and complete information.
- Process Court Orders: Process court orders and other documents related to criminal history records.
- Conduct Quality Control Reviews: Conduct periodic quality control reviews of work performed by personnel to ensure high-quality results.
- Complete Requests for FBI/NICS: Complete requests for FBI/NICS to include Restoration of Rights, Gun Denials, and Domestic Violence Determinations.
- Complete Performance Appraisal Reports: Complete annual civilian employee performance appraisal reports.
- Assist with CHRIS Design and Workflow: Assist in the design and workflow of new CHRIS systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Attend Department Meetings and Conferences: Attend department meetings and conferences to stay informed and up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- Assist with FBI Surveys and Audits: Assist with FBI surveys and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum of 2 Years' Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in criminal history records, preferably in a management or supervisory role.
- Ability to Function Independently: Must be able to function independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to Maintain Confidentiality: Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to Make Decisions and Delegate: Must be able to make decisions, exercise sound judgment, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of CHRIS System: Must have comprehensive knowledge of the CHRIS system and its operations.
- Knowledge of Applicant Application, Prosecutor, Doxpop, and MyCase Portals: Must have knowledge of the Applicant Application, Prosecutor, Doxpop, and MyCase portals and their operations.
- Ability to Communicate Effectively: Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
