Job Summary:

The Patient Access Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating patient access to care through effective communication and registration processes. This position is located in a call center setting, where the individual will be responsible for scheduling, recording patient communications, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate patient access to care through registration and scheduling processes
  • Record and document patient communications
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced call center environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with the public
  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • Computer and typing skills
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Physical Guidelines:

  • Ability to move, traverse, and position self for up to eight hours per day
  • Motor coordination and complete manual dexterity
  • Articulate speech and visual acuity
  • Ability to hear
