US Radiology Specialists is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient scheduling process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and Coordinate Patient Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, or cancel x-ray, fluoro, ultrasound, mammography, and DEXA studies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Verify Patient Information: Verify patient insurance eligibility, cost share, and other insurance requirements, including referrals and pre-certifications.
  • Document Patient Accounts: Document patient accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Task Modality and Billing: Task modality, billing, filming, and other necessary procedures.
  • Perform Daily Data Entry: Perform daily data entry and computer work.
  • Provide Patient Preparations: Provide patient preparations and end-of-call procedures.
  • Mail Patient Reports: Mail patient reports as requested.
  • Handle Referring Physician and Patient Inquiries: Handle questions and requests from referring physicians' offices and patients.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in a medical call center or front office is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of multiple insurance eligibility/authorization websites, medical insurance, medical terminology, and coding is required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak clearly and concisely, and possess active listening skills.
Working Conditions

The Patient Access Coordinator will work in an indoor office setting with continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse, and a multiline telephone.
