- Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline report and review with supervisor bi-weekly.
- Conduct site surveys and attend pre-bid meetings as needed.
- Prepare material/labor cost estimates for budgetary estimating purposes.
- Work closely with estimating/engineering team to ensure thorough and accurate design preparation.
- Prepare formal, professionally written proposals as needed.
- Conduct follow-ups on all installations to ensure customer satisfaction and additional service opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of latest technological trends to ensure high-quality, cost-effective equipment and service methods.
- Work closely with other account management team and business development staff to ensure overall synergies and cross-selling opportunities.
- College degree in Telecommunications or Business (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 15 years sales experience in telecommunications/electrical specialties industry (or equivalent experience).
- BICSI certifications a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident and able to build strong, long-term relationships.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High level of computer literacy, including MS Office/MS Outlook/Salesforce and database management.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work location/office.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Proven ability to manage and maximize revenue from extensive portfolio of key accounts.
- Ability to quickly develop rapport based on trust.
- Outstanding presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop opportunities with new or existing customers.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
