We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Sales Professional to join our team at HEI Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results in Group and Event LEAD capture and closure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Catering and Group Accounts: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
- Solicit New Business: Identify and pursue new catering and Group sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals in food, beverage, and room rental segments.
- Manage Upcoming Groups and Events: Coordinate with clients to meet their needs through active communication, planning, and team leadership.
- Provide Excellent Service: Act as the primary resource for all functions at the hotel, ensuring exceptional service for all events.
- Respond to Inbound LEAD Flow: Respond within set guidelines to inbound LEAD flow, as directed by HEI LEAD program and via the Sales leader for the hotel.
- Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed set Sales Goals for LEAD Closure and Transactions.
- Maximize Revenue: Sell all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients, including room rental, A/V, and other revenue generation opportunities.
- Participate in Sales Blitzes: Collaborate with the sales team to participate in sales blitzes and drive revenue growth.
- Build Long-Term Client Relationships: Consistently book and participate in the re-booking of repeat business by having a track record of long-term client relationships.
- Monitor Group Room Blocks and Pick Up: Generate detailed resumes for the operating departments and monitor group room blocks and pick up.
- Perform Other Job-Related Duties: Assist with other job-related duties as assigned by management.
- Prior Experience in Hospitality: Prior experience in the field of hospitality with specific experience in catering sales is essential.
- Education and Certifications: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, training, and motivation of peers. Ability to execute appropriate action plans and work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
