Position Overview

The Field Technician at Holland Pump Company serves as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and high-quality equipment. This role demands a commitment to safe driving practices and a clean driving record, reflecting the values of Holland Pump Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of all loads departing from the facility, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy work environment.
  • Ensure that all equipment leaving the premises is accompanied by the necessary paperwork.
  • Safely load and unload equipment for customers, minimizing the risk of damage.
  • Transport equipment using a pick-up truck and gooseneck trailer.
  • Secure all loads effectively before transport.
  • Inspect returned equipment for any damage or missing components, documenting findings appropriately.
  • Clean equipment after each rental to uphold quality standards.
  • Assist with job setup at customer locations as needed.
  • Maintain hoses and accessories related to rental equipment.
  • Execute deliveries and pickups of equipment as required.
  • Adhere to company policies and departmental procedures consistently.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly, including daily maintenance of the yard and storage areas.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision while demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Follow the assigned work schedule, emphasizing the importance of attendance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend service requests.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Knowledgeable in safety protocols and troubleshooting methods.
  • Able to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and related equipment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Efficient in completing service calls and repairs.
  • Willingness to work on-call hours and travel as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid CDL license and a clean driving record.
