Job Description: Security Communication Coordinator at Wind Creek Hospitality

The Security Communication Coordinator is essential in ensuring seamless communication between the establishment and security personnel. Acting as the primary contact point, this role functions as a communication center, help desk, and reception for behind-the-scenes operations. Interactions take place through various mediums such as radio, telephone, and in-person visits, with a strong emphasis on guest interaction and service excellence.

Job Overview:
  • Shifts typically from 9 pm to 5:30 am (subject to change based on operational needs)

Schedule:

The Security Teams at Wind Creek Hospitality operate continuously, seven days a week. Shift assignments are based on organizational requirements, which may include weekends and holidays to fulfill operational demands.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to phone calls and radio communications for various needs, including medical emergencies and urgent situations
  • Manage radio network operations and direct responses according to established protocols
  • Confirm authorization for non-staff entries into restricted areas
  • Oversee CCTV surveillance and manage lost and found items
  • Document incidents, maintain vehicle keys, and handle alarm systems effectively
  • Collaborate with internal and external entities during crisis situations
  • Execute other assigned responsibilities as needed
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED is required; enrollment and completion of a GED program within six months may be accepted
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years
  • Prior experience in security dispatching, law enforcement, or corrections is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with a minimum skills test pass rate of 70%
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a minimum skills test pass rate of 70%
  • Participation in a panel interview and realistic job preview is required
  • Completion of security incident and written skills tests with a pass rate of at least 70% is mandatory
  • Additional attributes such as customer service experience, TIPS and Title#31 certification, and flexibility in work hours are advantageous
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License and work in a casino environment
