- Manage access to SPLC facilities and residences utilizing various sensors, detection devices, and strategies.
- Operate and oversee integrated security systems to identify unauthorized access.
- Recognize threats and unsafe conditions, responding directly to mitigate risks to SPLC personnel.
- Utilize various communication equipment to coordinate effectively with other security personnel.
- Deter potential threats by maintaining a highly trained, armed, professional security presence through vehicle and foot patrols.
- Conduct surveillance detection operations using advanced Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) systems to identify potential threats targeting protected facilities.
- Provide executive protection during travel and public appearances.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
We are committed to equitable hiring practices; therefore, you must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for this role.
- At least two years of experience as an armed/unarmed security officer, military personnel, or law enforcement officer;
- Ability to qualify with various small arms and long-range weapons;
- Capability to execute physically demanding defensive tactics;
- High School Diploma or GED.
This is a non-exempt position with a starting salary of $43,260 annually. Salary will be based on experience.

Work Environment
This role offers the following work designations:
- Full Time In-Office: Will work from the SPLC office every day.
This position may involve strenuous physical demands or hazardous conditions. Must be able to lift and transport items up to 75 pounds and qualify with various small arms and long-range weapons. Much of the work is performed outdoors under varying weather conditions.
