Position Overview:

The role of the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II is crucial in safeguarding our nation's interests. As part of a diverse and dynamic team at ManTech International Corporation, you will play a key role in protecting national security through innovative projects that foster career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update authorization packages for Automated Information Systems (AIS).
  • Notify stakeholders of any changes impacting AIS authorization.
  • Conduct self-inspections of AIS and provide security coordination for system test plans.
  • Identify vulnerabilities within AIS and implement necessary countermeasures.
  • Represent the organization in technical reviews and inspections.
  • Conduct security assessments at various facilities and compile security documentation for system authorizations.
  • Coordinate and track AIS inspections, reports, and responses.
  • Maintain security records and prepare agreements for network nodes in government facilities.
  • Generate reports on the effectiveness of security measures applied to computer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies for the operation, maintenance, and disposal of AIS and network nodes.
  • Support in-house and external customers with ISSO duties.
  • Assist Department of Defense and other organizations in assessment and authorization efforts.
  • Review and conduct AIS training sessions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with security policies and guiding documents.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with various personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel within the organizational area of responsibility.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent communication with colleagues and clients, necessitating the ability to convey information accurately.
