Schedule:

The Security Dispatcher role operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with shifts assigned to meet the needs of the organization. This may include weekend and holiday shifts, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and radio messages, responding to medical emergencies, security incidents, and other critical situations.
  • Control the radio net, directing responses according to established procedures.
  • Screen non-team members, verifying authorization to enter the facility.
  • Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Ensure visitors and vendors sign in/out, issuing/retrieving temporary badges as needed.
  • Verify authorization for team members, vendors, and others to enter the facility.
  • Operate various computer applications, including those related to security and facility operations.
  • Monitor multiple radios and phones, receiving and directing messages according to procedure.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, responding to security incidents and emergencies.
  • Accept and log lost and found items, including those from hotel rooms.
  • Maintain fleet vehicles, controlling keys and recording entries on the activity log.
  • Maintain controlled keys, documenting issue/receive according to procedure.
  • Monitor alarms on the annunciation panel, making proper notifications according to procedures.
  • Coordinate with EMS, local law enforcement, managers, security officers, and the general population in response to emergencies and notifications.
  • Maintain good organizational skills, making records of events and activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; currently enrolled and successfully completing a GED program within six months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • One (1) year experience in law enforcement, corrections, or other security dispatch capacity preferred.
  • Experienced and proficient user in Microsoft Word, with a skills test administered and a minimum 70% skills pass rate required.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with a skills test administered and a minimum 70% skills pass rate required.
  • All candidates are required to participate in a panel interview, with the possibility of a realistic job preview and role-play.
  • Security-based auditions will include a verbal skill test and a written report on a security incident, with a minimum 70% skills pass rate required.
  • Experience in customer relations or guest services.
  • Must complete/pass TIPS and Title#31 training as a condition of employment.
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
