Automotive Technician II

The Automotive Technician II will be responsible for modifying vehicles in a pristine prototype setting, executing a broad spectrum of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks. This role involves undertaking independent projects while also collaborating effectively with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal vehicle performance by adhering to repair orders and conducting thorough inspections.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical system issues, replacing parts as necessary.
- Interpret and follow detailed service protocols.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records by documenting notes, services, and repairs.
- Ensure shop equipment remains functional by adhering to operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Contribute to daily shop organization and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a mechanical role.
- Proficient in mechanical assembly and capable of operating shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Possess personal tools with a rolling toolbox and availability for overtime and weekend work.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
- State Mechanic Certification(s).
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with vehicle alignments, air conditioning system repairs, and tire machinery.
