Position Overview

The Senior HR Generalist plays a crucial role in the management and execution of human resources functions, ensuring effective support for our dedicated team members. This position is responsible for leading HR initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Program Management: Implement and oversee HR policies and programs tailored for the organization.
  • Employee Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among employees.
  • Employee Relations: Address and manage employee relations matters, including counseling and corrective actions.
  • Recruitment: Oversee the full cycle of recruitment processes, collaborating with HR specialists.
  • Internal Promotions: Coordinate the internal job promotion and interview procedures.
  • Employee Engagement: Organize and lead various employee meetings, engagement activities, and training sessions.
  • Leave Management: Administer site leave of absence programs, including FMLA and personal leaves.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Track and coach employees and supervisors on attendance matters.
  • Recognition Programs: Develop and implement reward and recognition initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and conduct orientation sessions.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and health training requirements.
  • Team Support: Mentor and manage HR specialists at the site.
  • Project Assistance: Collaborate with the corporate HR team on various projects and initiatives.
  • Job Description Maintenance: Update and maintain accurate job descriptions.
  • HRIS Management: Ensure the accuracy of employee records within the HRIS.
  • Legal Compliance: Adhere to local ordinances and federal regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain proper documentation and employee file management.
Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of HR experience is essential, with a strong background as an HR Generalist. Experience in manufacturing and bilingual skills in Spanish are highly preferred. Union experience is a plus but not mandatory.
