Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floorcovering Sales Coordinator to join our team at The Sherwin-Williams Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our wholesale customers, ensuring their floorcovering needs are met, and recommending the right solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent sales service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge: Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate floorcovering products.
  • Relationship Building: Build productive trust relationships with wholesale customers.
  • Order Processing: Process orders, schedule/coordinate installations with installers and customers.
  • Inventory Management: Check installers' orders for accuracy before material leaves the store.
  • Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
  • Sales Goals: Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Work Order Files: Maintain precise work order files.
  • Product Retrieval: Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
  • Store Maintenance: Clean store equipment and load/unload delivery trucks.
  • Delivery Assistance: Assist in making deliveries, as needed.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas.
  • Product Knowledge: Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
  • Inventory Control: Comply with inventory control procedures.
  • Sales Improvement: Suggest ways to improve sales.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Work Schedule: Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience: Must have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Product Knowledge: Must have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products.
  • Equipment Operation: Must have prior work experience operating floorcovering cutting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Driver's License: Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Education: Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Spanish Language Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
