Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to enhance sales of lamination products, expand market presence, and strengthen the Silvercote brand among a diverse clientele, including metal building, laminated, and wide-width insulation customers. This position requires a solid understanding of core products and accessory offerings, enabling you to present optimal solutions. Collaboration with Territory Sales Representatives is essential to provide comprehensive solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and track customer orders and interactions using proprietary software and CRM tools.
  2. Calculate detailed material take-off estimates to effectively sell insulation solutions tailored to customer needs.
  3. Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers to meet annual sales and profitability targets.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for customers, coordinating with various business units.
  5. Address and resolve inquiries regarding quotes, orders, shipping, and invoicing.
  6. Assist in formulating and implementing strategic pricing strategies.
  7. Stay informed about energy and building codes, safety regulations, and freight costs.
  8. Identify new business opportunities through proactive engagement.
  9. Build and maintain internal networks to ensure efficient quote and order processing.
  10. Work with third-party suppliers to maximize profitability on shipments.
  11. Utilize market resources for self-education on industry trends and challenges.
  12. Communicate market changes to vendors and negotiate competitive pricing.
  13. Profile customers to understand product preferences and purchasing behaviors.
  14. Occasional travel to customer or supplier locations may be required.
  15. Participate in training on energy and building codes and safety regulations.
  16. Conduct material take-offs and estimate project costs, including complex blueprint analysis.
  17. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical products and insulation systems.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Mentor peers within the Inside Sales team.
  • Engage in customer training sessions to enhance product knowledge.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five years in sales with a proven track record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Ability to sell based on value rather than price.
  • Competence in reading and analyzing complex commercial blueprints.
  • Adaptability to the evolving sales cycle in the building products sector.
  • Self-motivated in learning about new products and industry developments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
