Patient Services Representative Job Description

CareerStaff Unlimited is seeking a qualified Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls in a calm and professional manner
  • Identify and handle patient needs while working in a team environment
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately in the EMR system
  • Submit patient messages through the EMR system for prescription refills, medical questions, referrals, form requests, or lab/test results
  • Schedule appointment requests from the patient portal and process return mail in the EMR system
  • Submit detailed documentation for patient appointments and cases in the EMR system
  • Maintain awareness of changes and updates by attending departmental meetings as required
  • Verify patient insurance
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent medical front office experience
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Background check and 10-panel drug screen with nicotine included
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
