Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Coordinator to join our team in the Houston area. As a Field Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our field service team, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the dispatch of Field Service Engineers and Vendors to provide onsite service and support to customers.
  • Issue Purchase Orders or Task Orders as required for Vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Communicate effectively with Field Service Engineers and Vendors on spare parts needs, dispatching, and return of material, ensuring seamless coordination and minimal downtime.
  • Communicate with customers on the status of Field Service Engineers and/or materials, providing timely updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Review dispatch boards to ensure Field Service Engineers' and Vendors' schedules are optimized for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate data entry in SAP and CRM based on Field Service reports, ensuring accurate and timely data capture.
  • Work cross-functionally with procurement, third-party partners, regional competency centers, and field service staff to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining field service databases, including customer data, service reports, and photographs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems with minimal supervision, demonstrating proactive and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Build and track required plans and schedules to conduct maintenance activities for multiple projects and sites, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Verify Vendor invoices correspond with services provided, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding scheduling for new sites, ensuring optimal resource allocation and minimal downtime.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating accountability to achieve results, driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent activities, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational effectiveness, driving business growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to security protocols and training, maintaining alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support company mission, values, and goals, driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the solar industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of renewable energy systems and inverter solutions.
  • Preferred experience in the solar industry, with a strong understanding of solar inverters and renewable energy systems.

  • Self-starter with strong initiative and excellent communication abilities, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

  • Organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach and strong initiative, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent activities and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong technical support focus with a service-oriented attitude towards both the Sales team and customers, with a strong understanding of renewable energy systems and inverter solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and driving business growth.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of data entry and management systems.
  • Experience with Airtable is a plus, with a strong understanding of data management and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent activities and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Travel

  • 5%-20% travel required, with a focus on domestic and international travel to support customer sites and business growth.

Work Location and Status

  • Full-time, hybrid position in the Houston area, with a focus on remote work and flexible scheduling.
  • No visa/legal sponsorship, with a focus on hiring candidates with the necessary skills and experience.
