Job Overview

Position: IT Infrastructure Solutions Engineer

This role offers a Hybrid work model, requiring three days in the office and two days remote. A Bachelor’s degree is essential, along with substantial experience in Backend Citrix Servers and VMWare.

Role Summary

The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary expertise to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. This individual will collaborate with a skilled team of engineers who collectively exhibit outstanding technical proficiency, reliability in delivering critical infrastructure, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accessibility, optimization, and security.

Qualified candidates will have a robust background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Facilitate the delivery of IT services through daily utilization of an IT Service Management tool, including updating, creating, resolving, and closing records.
  • Supervise infrastructure tasks, including the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Identify potential issues proactively to ensure optimal systems and infrastructure accessibility.
  • Monitor and evaluate application performance, anticipating potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain security protocols, including backup and redundancy strategies.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the team to design information and operational support systems.
  • Provide consistent and effective 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and IT personnel to implement solutions and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL 4 foundation certification or relevant experience in organizations utilizing ITIL principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Proven expertise in the administration and performance tuning of Citrix application experiences.
  • Significant experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Strong technical knowledge in operating systems installation, third-party software installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in monitoring systems effectively.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell or Python).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP).
