We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Expert to join our team at Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our infrastructure designs meet the highest technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Analysis: Develop and implement structural designs for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation-related infrastructure systems.
- Technical Solutions: Provide technical solutions to clients through contract documents, including construction plans, design calculations, and project specifications.
- Project Management: Manage tasks, including seismic design, bridge/culvert inspection, load rating, review and approval of construction submittals, quality control, and communication with clients.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree desired. EIT certification in Georgia required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Skills and Experience: 0-4 years of experience with transportation projects desired. Proficiency in computer programs such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Open Roads, or similar programs.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a sedentary position for up to eight hours per day and have visual acuity to recognize/change/add precise details on CAD drawings. When performing field work, the employee may be required to drive, lift heavy objects, walk excessively, bend, reach, point, or direct others to move objects or materials.
