We are seeking a highly skilled Principal UX Designer to join our Foundational People Data Services (FPDS) team at Amazon. Key Responsibilities- Lead high-priority design projects that are often ambiguous and complex with multiple persona scenarios.
- Define frameworks and methodologies to scale design, drive adoption across teams, and strategically balance trade-offs between competing priorities.
- Foster a customer-obsessed design culture by sharing best practices, evangelizing design principles, and influencing product strategy.
- Provide leadership and design direction, influencing across teams and giving thoughtful, detailed, and actionable design feedback.
- Promote collaboration and facilitate communication with stakeholders at all levels and across diverse disciplines and geographies.
Our team has seen rapid growth, with Amazon systems consuming 1 trillion employee records annually through billions of API calls to our 1P data services each week. We have 5,000+ builder customer teams across AWS, Alexa, Payroll, Builder Tools, MyHR, A to Z, Clarity, GREF, Workplace Health & Safety, Time and Attendance, and more – over 75% of them are outside of People Experience & Technology (PXT).
Requirements- 10+ years of design experience.
- Experience integrating UX research into customer experience, team culture, development process, and design principles.
- Experience in managing UX Design and rapid prototyping efforts.
- Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from marketing and product management.
- Experience with interactive prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe).
