This is a unique opportunity to help shape the workplace experience for Amazonians around the world. The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. As a Senior UX Researcher for Global Transformation, you will lead high-impact, large-scale research programs that directly impact business strategies, and shape digital workplace product experiences. You will build and sustain programs for collecting, synthesizing, and communicating foundational insights across a variety of workplace dimensions.
Key Responsibilities
Scope and drive research projects that inform digital workplace product strategy, design, and development at varying product stages, in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Conduct generative and evaluative research using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods to produce actionable and strategic insights. Synthesize research insights and distill them into compelling narratives that frame problems and illuminate the business value of recommended solutions. Guide a team of cross-functional partners on the execution of research programs and the delivery of results. Advocate for innovative ideas that will delight our customers, building cross-functional alignment and driving impactful decision-making.
About the Team
This role will be a key lead within the newly formed Global Transformation & Insights org. Key functions within this team include Customer Insights, Business Insights, Creative + UX Design, and Communications. We are a group of builders, creators, innovators and go getters. Basic Qualifications
7+ years conducting user research, with a strong emphasis on digital product solutions. Bachelor's degree in a research, design, business, or data related field or 4+ years of quantitative field research experience. Curious about technology and can dive into complex or unfamiliar topics. Deep experience in a range of research methods, both generative and evaluative types of research, and across varied product lifecycle stages. Experience communicating complex research methods and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to independently drive multiple concurrent projects in an agile environment. Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization. Experience independently designing and running original research on a range of product types, including digital products and services. Solid understanding of the innovation, design process and how research is appropriately integrated at each phase. Strategic, business-building approach to user research with a passion for translating data into bottom-line impact. Passion for understanding the latest learnings and innovations in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design and applying these to your work. Experience in the utilization of behavioral data and the design and analysis of A-B tests a plus. Advanced Excel knowledge and capabilities. Skilled in use of statistical analysis tools a plus (e.g., SPSS, R). Vendor management experience. Research agency experience a plus. MS or PhD in human computer interaction, human factors, psychology, sociology, anthropology, or related discipline.
