Position: Fire Alarm Technician


Overview: We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to support our operations in maintaining and enhancing fire safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:


• Execute installation, service, and testing of electronic fire alarm systems and related safety products, adhering to manufacturers' guidelines and industry standards.

• Conduct troubleshooting, servicing, and installation of diverse Fire / Life Safety Systems. Regularly inspect, maintain, and test fire alarm equipment, replacing faulty components as necessary. Perform tests on initiating and signaling circuits, detectors, and system transmitters; execute repairs and monitor pressure gauges on suppression systems, including wet pipe systems, and conduct monthly tests on electric fire pumps.

• Provide accurate NFPA test documentation and detailed reports on defective alarm equipment and water-based systems for maintenance action.

• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to ensure proper installation and maintenance of systems.

• Train Maintenance & Operations personnel on the operation and basic upkeep of installed fire alarm systems, including smoke and duct detectors.

• Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in low voltage systems installation and testing, particularly in Fire / Life Safety systems. Familiarity with Simplex products and proficiency in Windows-based applications is preferred.

    • NICET I Certification is advantageous.

    • Fundamental understanding of electrical principles, including Ohm's law and AC/DC circuits.
  • Proficient knowledge of both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.

    • Familiarity with testing equipment such as multi-meters, digital analyzers, and battery analyzers.

    • Understanding of NFPA Standards and Codes.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $47.00 to $52.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
