In this position, you will spearhead the development, leadership, and maintenance of system requirements and reliability initiatives in close collaboration with engineering leads. Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reliability assessments and failure analyses while directing qualification efforts for product introductions.
  • Work in tandem with engineering teams to evaluate product reliability, utilizing insights to improve performance and guide the reliability of new offerings.
  • Formulate and validate system requirements and verification matrices specifically for eVTOL vehicles.
  • Oversee the validation and documentation processes for system and subsystem-level requirements.
  • Manage the traceability and evolution of requirements throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Assess system performance thresholds and provide strategic guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of models and simulation analyses.
  • Effectively review and interpret customer specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify, analyze, and rectify weaknesses in system design.
  • Influence the future product development by contributing to the architectural framework utilized across various systems.
  • Establish and lead a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) process that incorporates continuous learning into functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers on compliance assessments, system interface definitions, and related requirements.
  • Ensure that any discrepancies in verification and validation plans are promptly addressed while maintaining project timelines.
  • Engage with the testing team to create comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) test plans that encompass all requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a systems development environment, focusing on requirements development, FMEA, compliance standards, and V&V test planning.
  • More than 5 years of combined experience in reliability and systems engineering, or aerospace engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the traceability and evolution of requirements throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience in providing effective weekly updates on system development progress, including requirements burn down.
  • Proficient in developing system test plans, procedures, and reports, with the capability to review and interpret specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities, prioritizing team success over individual achievements.
