Position: Fire Alarm Technician
Overview:
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to support critical projects. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct installation, service, and testing of electronic fire alarm systems, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on various manufacturers' Fire and Life Safety Systems, ensuring all equipment is operational and compliant.
- Inspect, maintain, and test fire alarm equipment, replacing any defective components as necessary.
- Complete NFPA test forms accurately and report any issues with alarm systems for prompt corrective action.
- Interpret technical documents, including blueprints and operational manuals, to facilitate effective system installation and maintenance.
- Provide training to Maintenance & Operations staff on the proper use and upkeep of fire alarm systems and related equipment.
- Address customer inquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and testing, with a focus on Fire and Life Safety systems.
- Preferred NICET I Certification and familiarity with Simplex products.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, including Ohm's law and AC/DC circuits.
- Proficient in the operation of test equipment, including multi-meters and battery analyzers.
- Knowledge of NFPA Standards and Codes is essential.

Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $47.00 to $52.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
