Job Overview:

As a Front Desk Associate at FirstService Residential, you will be responsible for working independently, and without direct supervision. You will possess strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. You will be detail-oriented and able to multitask. You will meet and greet residents; check guests and service providers in/out. You will be able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitor and operate electronic security control systems; and accurately maintain daily logs, records, and forms.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
  • Monitor Emergency Response System: Monitors Emergency Response System.
  • Meet and Greet Residents and Guests: Greets and directs Residents, guests, and invitees.
  • Monitor and Control Electronic Security Control Systems: Monitors and controls Electronic Security Control Systems.
  • Respond to Emergency Situations: Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and Control Access to the Building: Monitors and controls access to the building.
  • Maintain Daily Logs and Records: Maintains daily log, records, and forms.
  • Resolve Complaints and Issues: Resolves and follows-up on all complaints/issues.
  • Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment: Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property(s).
  • Perform Other Duties: May be assigned other duties by the on-site property manager.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Business or Hospitality Courses: College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
  • Business Experience: Two (2) to three (3) years of business experience preferred.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy: command of information system hardware/software is preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Language Fluency: Multiple language fluency is desirable.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift lbs.
  • Standing and Sitting: Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
  • Handling Objects: Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages.
  • Reaching: Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communication: Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
  • Navigating the Property: Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions.
  • Completing Forms: Complete all required forms.
  • Extended Work Hours: Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
