Position Summary:
As a Host at Juliet Italian Kitchen, your primary role is to provide a warm and inviting welcome to all guests as they arrive at our establishment. You will play a crucial part in managing the seating arrangements to ensure that every guest's preferences are acknowledged and catered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
- Assist guests by opening the front door when they arrive or depart.
- Handle reservations and walk-in guests to maximize seating efficiency.
- Maintain an organized seating chart and implement staggered seating as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the serving staff to ensure seamless service.
- Record guest names and party sizes when immediate seating is unavailable.
- Politely notify guests when their table is ready.
- Provide guests with an estimated wait time when applicable.
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever feasible.
- Seat guests according to their preferences while balancing the flow of service.
- Present menus and place settings, informing guests of their assigned server.
- Inspect tables to ensure proper presentation and readiness.
- Communicate messages or pass along orders to servers and bus staff as needed.
- Thank guests upon their departure and encourage them to return.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a host role is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
- Strong communication skills, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.
