Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
  • Assist guests by opening the front door when they arrive or depart.
  • Handle reservations and walk-in guests to maximize seating efficiency.
  • Maintain an organized seating chart and implement staggered seating as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the serving staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Record guest names and party sizes when immediate seating is unavailable.
  • Politely notify guests when their table is ready.
  • Provide guests with an estimated wait time when applicable.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever feasible.
  • Seat guests according to their preferences while balancing the flow of service.
  • Present menus and place settings, informing guests of their assigned server.
  • Inspect tables to ensure proper presentation and readiness.
  • Communicate messages or pass along orders to servers and bus staff as needed.
