Job Summary:

The Derbyshire County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join our Housing and Community Safety department on a temporary basis. As an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you will play a crucial role in addressing and resolving cases of Anti-Social Behaviour, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with victims, witnesses, and perpetrators of Anti-Social Behaviour, gathering evidence and taking statements as necessary.
  • Investigate cases of Anti-Social Behaviour, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.
  • Work with internal and external partners, including Housing, Community Safety, Community Enforcement Rangers, and the police, to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Enforce Anti-Social Behaviour policies and procedures, issuing warnings, notices, and progressing prosecutions as required.
  • Attend court proceedings and provide expert testimony as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Anti-Social Behaviour and its effects on victims and communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good literacy and computer skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a workload, recognizing and mitigating risks of harm.
  • Previous experience in enforcement and/or conflict resolution is desirable, but not essential.
