Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Acquisition Security Analyst I to support our operations.

The Acquisition Security Analyst will collaborate with the Government Program Manager to develop and execute comprehensive methodologies for program protection, ensuring the security of advanced technology initiatives throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough lifecycle program assessments to identify critical program information (CPI), Critical System Resources (CSR), and their vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing effective countermeasures.
  • Formulate and execute a risk management-based program protection strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance and security support for collateral and Special Access Programs (SAP) and emerging mission areas.
  • Offer security recommendations to the Program Manager, Government Security Support Officer (GSSO), and relevant security authorities regarding acquisition and sustainment processes.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the Program Manager, Contracting Officer, and contractor security personnel to ensure compliance with all security documentation throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Support customer program protection/security officers in the creation and execution of Program Protection Planning (PPP).
  • Evaluate threats and risks, develop risk management strategies, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Assist in drafting operations security (OPSEC) plans, transition plans, emergency action plans, transportation plans, security concepts of operations (CONOPS), and other necessary security documentation.
  • Review program documentation for public release, ensuring proper handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) according to Air Force guidelines.
  • Generate analytical products from various resources to deliver real-time, tailored information.
  • Provide classification guidance and support for all security programs, including collateral and SAP initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and refine Security Classification Guides (SCG), Exposure Contingency Plans (ECP), Managed Access Plans (MAP), Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), and System Test Plans (STP).
  • Assist government system security engineers with closeout actions for SAPs as necessary.
  • Develop and facilitate security education and training for personnel, providing technical analysis and OPSEC support to special programs and associated operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with acquisition programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
  • Familiarity with security policies/manuals and relevant ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals.
  • Extensive knowledge of the DD Form 254 and its role in the Air Force acquisition process.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the Program's Area of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with various DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Exhibit a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
  • Frequent operation of computers and other office machinery.
  • Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.

The projected compensation range for this position is $87,200-$146,400, influenced by factors such as relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
