Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Program Acquisition Specialist to support the U.S. Space Forces mission of delivering warfighter capability via the Space Systems Command's Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power and Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications weapon system portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting, and execution.
  • Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate, and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings.
  • Develop, draft, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by the Department of Defense Acquisition Framework and relevant DoD, AF, and local unit policies.
  • Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design/milestone reviews to assess progress, risks, and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements.
  • Provide program element coordination, staffing, and monitoring; advise and assist government customers regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures, as well as drafting and supporting delivery of program funding documentation and monthly financial reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent business-related discipline and nine (9) or more years in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management and, or Contracts management within the Department of Defense.
  • Must have an in-scope background investigation (SSBI/T5) and the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Program accesses, as well as be willing to consent to a polygraph examination.
  • Experience with Department of Defense Major Capability Acquisition System process.
  • Experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process.
  • Experience in Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution process.

Compensation:

Depending on years of experience and degree, compensation ranges from $150,000 to $175,000 for 9+ years of experience and $175,000 to $200,000 for 18+ years of experience.
