Job Summary:
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Lead to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the successful delivery of space control systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing recommendations that translate mission needs into operationally delivered end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquisition Strategy and Planning: Provide expert advice to the Government Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution.
- Software Acquisition Expertise: Expert in software acquisition programs within the DoD to include classified ACAT-like space control systems.
- Documentation and Source Selections: Offers strategic approach for developing documentation required to support Defense Acquisition Boards and highly knowledgeable in developing and coordinating all activities and documentation required to support source selections.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Fluent in being a team lead for acquisition and systems engineering professionals to support ongoing and emerging program acquisitions.
- Schedule Management and Problem Solving: Experienced in schedule management of DoD programs and serves as a strategic problem solver for the program office and refines acquisition strategies, as well as identifies program execution issues with accompanying solution recommendations.
- Communication and Analysis: Generates presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communication inputs, performs analyses of program business cases, risk assessments; and offers actionable recommendations to the Government Program Manager.
- Acquisition Planning and Execution: Develops and collaborates on acquisition planning briefings and documents (AoA, ASP, ASD, J&A, etc.) and develops and collaborates on solicitation planning and execution documents (RFPs, SOWs, CDRLs, Incentive Plans, etc.).
- Source Selections and Technical Evaluations: Drafts technical evaluations and functions as an advisor in Source Selections.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in related science field (systems engineering, software engineering) and 12 years of experience.
- Clearance and Security: TS SCI Clearance with an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI) and agreeable to be nominated for access to Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in related science field (systems engineering, software engineering) and 10 years of experience, understands Program Management of ACAT I through ACAT III programs, served as an evaluator/advisor on at least one Source Selection, experience with Confluence and JIRA, SAP eligible, and certifications: DAWIA/APDP Program Management Level III, Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or PMP Program Management Professional (PgMP).
