Chief Human Resources Officer

Masis Professional Group is assisting a client in higher education searching for an Executive Director of Human Resources in a key leadership role.
**Job Summary:**
The Chief Human Resources Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the college institution's success by overseeing all human resources initiatives, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting our strategic goals.
This is a temp-to-perm role to ensure alignment and effective transition with the potential to culminate in an offer of a permanent position with the college. Salary is commensurate with experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the college's mission and vision.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee benefits administration, compensation, and performance management to ensure a fair and equitable work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements to minimize risk and ensure a positive reputation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in higher education, with a proven track record of success.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and labor laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external partners.
- Experience with HR information systems and applicant tracking systems, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
