Job Summary

MISO is seeking a highly skilled Power System Analysis Specialist to conduct power system analysis studies that support MISO's generation interconnection and retirement processes. The ideal candidate will have experience related to power system planning, operations, or a related field, and will be able to administer simulations and technical analyses effectively without daily oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and interact with interconnection customers and transmission owners
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and project management
  • Take ownership of specific processes and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one of our study processes
  • Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in one of several engineering disciplines, including Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years of experience related to power system planning, operations, or a related field
  • Previous energy industry experience and specific experience within PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, &/or VSAT are preferred
