Fluid Power Solutions Specialist

As a key member of the Applied Industrial Technologies team, you will play a vital role in providing dedicated fluid power support and custom designed solutions to meet customer performance goals.

With a strong focus on technical expertise and customer management skills, you will work closely with our team of Certified Fluid Power Specialists, Certified Electronic Control Specialists, and Certified Fluid Power Mechanics to assist with problem solving, system building, and troubleshooting.

As a Fluid Power MRO Specialist, you will spend the majority of your time as a business development partner with our team of Account Managers, building relationships with existing and new customers throughout your assigned territory and growing our business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cooperatively creating and executing an engagement plan with local US Service Center sales teams to identify and engage high potential accounts in assigned regions.
  • Acting as a local, technical fluid power expert in assigned regions, facilitating technical supplier interactions with internal sales teams and customers.
  • Reviewing installed solutions, drawings, plans, and other customer documents to prepare technical proposals involving products and services offered.
  • Conducting fluid power training for both internal associates and customers to increase knowledge of Fluid Power and demonstrate expertise and value.
  • Developing professional working relationships with key supplier resources to help specify products and systems that will enhance customer performance.
  • Coordinating projects with US Service Center personnel.
  • Assisting in the development of the Fluid Power collaborative knowledge base, including applications, interchanges, case histories, documented value-added activities, market activities, and competitor activities.

Requirements include:

  • 3+ years of fluid power experience, including practical applications (hydraulic and/or pneumatic).
  • Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree, or extensive fluid power application experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire and passion to learn; International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, including remote collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and English grammar skills.
